The Athenaeum of Ohio Alumni Association     | Events     |About the Association

The Athenaeum of Ohio is proud of the more than 3,200 alumni who have studied and fulfilled their vocations at the institution. Our alumni serve in all 50 states and abroad. They are priests, deacons, counselors, missionaries and lay ministers. They serve their communities in paid and volunteer positions. Alumni are found ministering in churches, schools, health care facilities, social service agencies and mission organizations. Athenaeum alumni also minister through their roles as family members, neighbors, business leaders and workers. They are living examples of God’s call in their daily lives.

Active membership in the Athenaeum Alumni Association consists of all graduates who have earned a degree or certificate as well as ordained deacons who completed their formation at the Athenaeum. Associate membership consists of all individuals who complete 50 percent or more of their graduate studies at the Athenaeum, as well as  friends, parents of present and former students, benefactors of the Athenaeum, faculty and staff of the Athenaeum upon nomination and election to membership by the Alumni Executive Committee of the Athenaeum Advisory Council.

EVENTS

Lehman Catholic High School Is Site of 2009 Reunion

The annual Athenaeum Alumni Association reunion will be held August 7, 2009 at Lehman Catholic High School in Sidney.

The activities committee of the Alumni Executive Committee has decided to move the venue for the event from the former Sidney Holiday Inn because the high school facilities are better able to handle the needs of the reunion. Lehman Catholic High School is easy to find and visible from Interstate-75, has a chapel for the alumni Mass, a room to accommodate a group of between 150 and 200 and space adequate for the annual silent auction. The high school also works closely with an area caterer willing to provide the annual alumni dinner.

Anyone interested in donating items to the reunion’s silent auction, the association’s major fund-raising opportunity, should contact Walt Schaefer at 513-233-6130 or e-mail him at wschaefer@athenaeum.edu .

Information about reserving space for the reunion and its cost will be published in the summer edition of The Athenaeum Magazine. Please mark the date on your calendar and plan to attend.
