MTSM Hosts Annual Bishop Fenwick Society Reception

Last Friday, Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) hosted its annual reception for members of the Bishop Fenwick Society (BFS). MTSM’s largest event of the year, nearly 200 supporters of the Seminary gathered on campus to meet the seminarians and priest faculty and to celebrate the 12 men who will receive the Sacrament of Holy Orders in the coming weeks and be ordained to the priesthood.

Benefactors got the opportunity to hear from the recently installed Archbishop of Cincinnati and Chancellor of MTSM, The Most Rev. Robert G. Casey and from MTSM President & Rector The Very Rev. Anthony R. Brausch.

The Bishop Fenwick Society honors the legacy of Cincinnati’s first bishop, Edward Fenwick (1822-33). These important benefactors support the education of tomorrow’s priests, deacons and lay ministers, financially and spiritually through significant annual gifts to the Seminary’s funds.
