New Locations for LPMP Classes 2/10/2015

The Lay Pastoral Ministry Program (LPMP) will open two new satellite locations to accommodate students interested in taking classes beginning in August 2015: the Daniel E. Pilarczyk Center on Needmore Road in Dayton and St. Ignatius Parish on Cincinnati’s west side.

The complete two year non-degreed Certificate Option will be available at the satellite locations with classes offered during the academic year from August 2015 through May 2017. The MA Pastoral Ministry degree, Graduate Certificate and non-degreed Certificate will also be available at the main campus in Cincinnati. Over 800 men and women throughout the Archdiocese have completed the MA Pastoral Ministry, Graduate Certificate or non-degreed Certificate and serve in a variety of professional and volunteer positions in parishes, schools, hospitals, prisons and non-profit agencies. Wherever they serve, LPMP graduates bring an informed faith and Gospel values to their families, communities and workplaces. The LPMP classes can be used toward catechist and youth ministry certification and as preparation to apply for permanent diaconate formation.

Since the LPMP was founded in 1975, accessibility throughout the Archdiocese has been a high priority. Thirty-two satellite locations, each offering classes for two years, have been established since 1980. This includes sites in Maria Stein, Sidney, Carthagena, Springfield, Vandalia, Monroe, McCartyville and other locations throughout greater Dayton and Cincinnati.

Information meetings are scheduled at the Athenaeum, 6616 Beechmont Avenue on Saturday, February 14 at 10 am (Room 114), at St. Ignatius on Monday, March 2 at 7 pm and Saturday, April 11 at 10 am.
