The 1829 Community
If you’re looking for a way to make a lasting impact at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology, a simple monthly gift provides steady, ongoing support for formation.
The 1829 Community is a network of faithful supporters who sustain the Seminary’s work of forming priests, deacons and lay leaders through monthly donations of at least $18.29 per month.
Their steady support sustains the day-to-day formation of prayer, study, and pastoral preparation that shapes future leaders of the Church.
We invite you to join The 1829 Community and support formation through a simple monthly gift.
Why Monthly Support?
Because formation is a daily and lifelong work, it requires more than occasional support. The 1829 Community was created to provide steady, faithful support for the Seminary’s mission of forming priests, deacons and lay leaders throughout the year.
Why The 1829 Community?
The year 1829 marks the founding of the Seminary (then as St. Francis Xavier Seminary) and the beginning of its mission to form priests for service in the Church. Nearly two centuries later, that same mission continues, shaping future priests, deacons and lay leaders through prayer, study and pastoral formation.
Community reflects a shared participation in the mission of the Church. It is not simply a group of donors, but a cohort of people united in supporting the daily work of formation.
