MTSM Welcomes Archbishop-Designate Casey to Campus

Last Wednesday, the Holy Father, Pope Francis announced that he had accepted the resignation of The Most Rev. Dennis M. Schnurr, Archbishop of Cincinnati and appointed The Most Rev. Robert G. Casey, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago as the 11th Archbishop of Cincinnati.

Archbishop Schnurr will continue to serve as Apostolic Administrator for the Archdiocese until Bishop-Designate Casey is installed. The date of the Installation Mass has not announced at the time of publication.

Archbishop-Designate Casey was in town last week for a press conference and meetings at the Pastoral Center downtown before coming out to the Seminary in Mount Washington. In his message to the seminarians, faculty and staff in attendance, Archbishop-Designate Casey shared his vocational story and said a prayer with the assembled.
