Eight Men Formed at MTSM Part of Diocese of Charlotte’s Historic Ordination Class

Saturday, May 30 was a historic day for the Diocese of Charlotte, where Bishop Michael T. Martin, OFM Conv., ordained a record-setting class of 10 men to the priesthood, eight of whom completed their formation at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM).
The ordination, which took place at St. Mark’s Parish in Huntersville to accommodate the more than 1,600 attendees which included nearly 100 concelebrating priests, concluded a historic month of ordinations for men formed at MTSM, on May 16, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati ordained nine men to the priesthood, only the third time in the last 51 years that Cincinnati has ordained nine men to the priesthood in one year. The Diocese of Charlotte has now ordained 23 men to the priesthood over the last three years, 21 of whom completed their priestly formation at MTSM.
