Profile
Rev. Anthony Stoeppel, a bi-ritual Latin-Byzantine priest of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas, serves as Dean of Men for the Seminary and as Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology.
Prior to joining Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM), Fr. Anthony served as Vice Rector and Associate Professor of pastoral studies as well Director of Liturgy and Sacred Music at St. Patrick’s Seminary and University in Menlo Park, California.
Previous to his work at St. Patrick’s Seminary, Fr. Anthony was the vicar general of the Diocese of Tyler, president of Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic Schools, and pastor of two multi-lingual parishes.
Fr. Anthony earned both a doctorate and licentiate in sacred theology from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, and his Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Theology degrees were completed at Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut.
