February 15: Solemn Vespers & Organ Recital

On February 15, 2026, Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology will celebrate Solemn Vespers at 7 p.m., preceded by an organ recital at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Gregory the Great.

Seminarian Spotlight: Deacon Nicholas Emmerling

Deacon Nicholas Emmerling had an idea from an early age that the priesthood would be in his future. A son of the West Side of Cincinnati, he got involved in ministry early and was immediately inspired by the priests he got to assist at Mass.

Dr. Mikail Whitfield Promoted to Associate Professor

Following the recommendations of the Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) Faculty Affairs Committee, Mikail Whitfield, Ph.D. has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, MTSM President/Rector the Vey Rev. Anthony R. Brausch announced.

Fr. Langenkamp Returns to MTSM as He Resumes His Studies

Rev. Peter A. Langenkamp, S.S.L. returned to Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology over the summer, having completed six years of further studies in Rome. He will now continue to pursue his Doctorate in Sacred Scripture in Cincinnati while serving as the seminary’s Dean of Men and as an Instructor of Biblical Studies.

Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology welcomes new Director of Music Dr. Christopher Holman, as he presents Visions of Eternity, an organ recital which traces the masterpieces of sacred organ repertoire throughout history, from the earliest surviving keyboard work to a world premiere by British composer Caitlin Harrison.

Dr. Craycraft Named the New Host of ‘Driving Home the Faith’

Dr. Kenneth Craycraft, the James J. Gardner Family Chair of Moral Theology and Professor of Moral Theology at MTSM, has been named the new host of 'Driving Home the Faith' on Sacred Heart Catholic Radio, which can be listened to via 740 AM and 910 AM in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati
