Dr. Michael Naughton
Join Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) for the 2024 Fall Lecture on Wednesday, November 13, at 7:30 p.m. inside the Bartlett Center at MTSM.
The lecture will be given by Dr. Michael Naughton, the Director of the Center for Catholic Studies at the University of St. Thomas (Saint Paul, Minnesota), where he holds the Koch Chair in Catholic Studies and is Professor of Catholic Studies. The title of the lecture is ‘The Story of Catholic Education: Renewing Our Schools’.
“If we do not know where we come from, it is hard to know what role we play.” In his lecture, Dr. Naughton will provide a compelling narrative of Catholic education that will draw upon personal, institutional and cosmic stories. This narrative will give a vision both to see the current educational challenges more clearly and to act with confidence and creativity to renew the mission and culture of our Catholic schools.
