MTSM Hosts Richard Garnett for Gardner Lecture

Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) welcomed Richard W. Garnett, J.D., the Paul J. Schierl Professor of Law at the University of Notre Dame Law School for the 2025 Gardner Lecture on November 12 in the Bartlett Center at MTSM.
Garnett’s lecture was entitled ‘Religion and the American Constitutional Experiment’, which Garnett discussed and outlined the history of religious liberty in America and discussed some recent and upcoming religious freedom cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.

The next lecture taking place at MTSM will be on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. inside the Bartlett Center at MTSM and will be given by Jennifer Frey, Ph.D., Professor of Philosophy at the University of Tulsa.
