Cincinnati Priesthood, Toledo Diaconate Ordination on Saturday

2024 Archdiocese of Cincinnati Priesthood Ordination Class

Ordinations for Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) seminarians resume on Saturday (May 18) with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati celebrating priesthood ordination and the Diocese of Toledo celebrating diaconate ordination.

For the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Rev. Mr. Brice Berger, Rev. Mr. Adam Berning, Rev. Mr. John Grusenmeyer, Rev. Mr. Benjamin Mersch, Rev. Mr. Matthew Montag, Rev. Mr. Anthony Sanitato and Rev. Mr. Jeremy Stubbs will be ordained to the priesthood by the Archbishop of Cincinnati, The Most Rev. Dennis M. Schnurr, on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains. 2024 will mark the third-straight year that the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will ordain seven men to the priesthood, all of whom were formed at MTSM. Up in the Diocese of Toledo, The Most Rev. Daniel E. Thomas, Bishop of Toledo and member of the MTSM Board of Trustees, will ordain three men being formed at MTSM at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral in Toledo on Saturday at 10 a.m. The ordination for Travis Kahle, Eric Kaufman and Kevin McGraw will be live streamed on the Diocese of Toledo YouTube channel, here.

MTSM has already seen three men ordained into the diaconate this academic year, with Rev. Mr. Kevin LeMelle and Rev. Mr. Adam Lewis ordained for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and Rev. Mr. Liam Hosty for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis back on April 27. In addition, six men being formed at MTSM for the Diocese of Charlotte will be ordained into the transitional diaconate on Saturday, June 1.

There will be three more priesthood ordinations involving MTSM seminarians this year. On June 1, Rev. Mr. Van Tran from the Archdiocese of Louisville will be ordained to the priesthood, followed by seven men from the Diocese of Charlotte (Rev. Mr. Matthew Dimock, Jr., Rev. Mr. Christian Goduti, Rev. Mr. Matthew Harrison, Rev. Mr. Kevin Martinez, Rev. Mr. Jose Palma Torres, Rev. Mr. Elliott Suttle, Rev. Mr. Kevin Tran) on June 15 and Rev. Mr. Christopher Turner for the Diocese of Toledo on June 22.
