In Remembrance: Fr. Rob Jack, Fr. David Robisch & Mr. Thomas Sedler

Fr. Rob Jack
Rev. John Robert Jack, a member of the MTSM priest faculty for 19 years before taking his ministry to the people of Cincinnati via a drive-time radio show, passed away on October 28 at the age of 60. Fr. Rob graduated from Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in 1992, also earning his Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies while at the Seminary. He joined the priest faculty in 1999, serving as an Instructor in Systematic Theology. He had been a contributor to Sacred Heart Radio since its inception in 2001, and in 2018 was assigned full-time to weekday ministry by the Archdiocese, hosting ‘Driving Home the Faith’ from 4-6 p.m. on Sacred Heart Radio.
Rev. David C. Robisch, whose long career as a priest in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and Spiritual Director for St. Gregory College Seminary, passed away on May 3 at the age of 87. Fr. Robisch did his high school, college and seminary education in Cincinnati, being ordained to the priesthood in 1962. From 1970-80, he served as a Spiritual Director at St. Gregory College Seminary, after which he spend 27 years as pastor first at St. Albert the Great in Kettering and St. Mary’s Hyde Park until his retirement in 2007. Following his retirement, he continued to assist at St. Columban in Loveland until his passing.
Mr. Thomas E. Sedler passed away on July 30 at the age of 92. He and his wife Genevieve have been among the most generous benefactors to MTSM, giving nearly $600,000 during his lifetime to the Seminary, which includes two major gifts to capital projects at MTSM: $200,000 to the Seminary Building Expansion Project and $125,000 to Investing in Our Future, Preserving Our Legacy. The long-time president and CEO of Home City Ice, Sedler has spread his generosity and talents throughout Cincinnati, also being a long-time benefactor to Xavier University and the Catholic Inner-City Schools Education Fund (CISE) among many other organizations.
