MTSM Begins Music & Liturgy Season
10.06.25Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) hosted Solemn Vespers and an organ recital featuring Dr. Stella O’Neill, the Director of Music at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cincinnati, on Sunday, October 5 in the Chapel of St. Gregory the Great. The evening’s vespers served as the first Music & Liturgy event of Christopher Holman, DPhil’s tenure as Music Director at MTSM.
The evening began with Dr. O’Neill’s organ recital, which featured works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Bohm and Naji Hakim.
Following was the Solemn Vespers, with Rev. Peter A. Langenkamp, S.S.L. serving as the presider. The evening featured both the Athenaeum Chorale and the Mount St. Mary’s Latin Schola. Please see the video below to see the Opening Procession featuring Dr. Holman at the Athenaeum Chorale.
MTSM’s next Music & Liturgy Series event will be an Organ Recital on Sunday, November 9 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Gregory the Great featuring Dr. Kimberly Marshall, an accomplished concert organist who holds the Patricia and Leonard Goldman Endowed Professorship in Organ at Arizona State University.
