MTSM Faculty Present at Catholic Liturgy Conference
10.05.21Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology faculty members, Rev. Paul Keller, Rev. Ryan Ruiz and Dr. Mary Catherine Levri, presented at the annual Society for Catholic Liturgy Conference. The 2021 conference, That They May Be One: Liturgical Reconciliation, was held at the University of Notre Dame
September 23-25. The Society for Catholic Liturgy is a multidisciplinary association committed to promoting scholarly study and practical renewal of the Church’s liturgy.
Rev. Rev. Paul Keller, Professor of Sacramental & Liturgical Theology, presented “A Correct Understanding of the Meaning of the Liturgy.”
Rev. Ryan Ruiz, Dean of the School of Theology, Liturgy Director and Assistant Professor of Liturgy & Sacraments, presented “The Medieval Pontificalia and the Necessitates Temporum: A Study of the Church’s Liturgy Responding to the Needs of the Time.”
Dr. Mary Catherine Levri, Director of Music and Assistant Professor of Music & Pastoral Studies, presented “The Chants of the Roman Missal: A Common Way Forward.”
