MTSM Hosts Annual Golf Outing
10.12.21This past weekend, Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) hosted its 33rd annual Golf Outing at The Vineyard Golf Course in Cincinnati. Men from four other seminaries: Sacred Heart Seminary (Detroit), Bishop Simon Brute Seminary (Indianapolis), Mundelein Seminary (Chicago) and the Pontifical College Josephinum (Columbus), participated in the event. The 68 golfers took to the greens after celebrating mass in the Chapel of St. Gregory the Great.
“Events like this are important because it helps create fraternity among seminarians in house, but also between seminaries,” said Rev. Mr. Thomas Hunyor, Jr., a IV Theology student at MTSM from the Diocese of Toledo, who coordinated the event this year. “The seminary schedule is typically very structured and busy and the golf outing offers an opportunity for recreation with brothers discerning the priesthood.”
The men enjoyed a banquet at MTSM after the outing with an opportunity to win raffle prizes.
