MTSM Hosts Solemn Vespers on the Eve of the Immaculate Conception

Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) hosted its annual Solemn Vespers on the Eve of the Immaculate Conception on Sunday, December 7 in the Chapel of St. Gregory the Great. An annual tradition at MTSM, the solemn vespers was celebrated by The Very Rev. Anthony R. Brausch, President and Rector of MTSM, in the presence of The Most Rev. Earl K. Fernandes, Bishop of Columbus.
The evening featured the Athenaeum Chorale and Mount St. Mary’s Seminary Latin Schola. The Chorale’s performances were joined by members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, all under the direction of MTSM Music Director Christopher Holman, DPhil.
Dr. Holman’s music program included pieces from Mozart’s Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In between selections, attendees heard Lesson readings, which were done by MTSM priest faculty members Rev. Peter A. Langenkamp and Rev. Daniel P. Moloney, MTSM School of Theology Director of Programming and Promotion Dr. Joey Belleza and MTSM Board of Trustees members The Honorable Penelope R. Cunningham and Matthew M. Sokany.
