MTSM Hosts St. Gregory Family of Parishes Mass
09.28.23
Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) recently hosted the St. Gregory the Great Family of Parishes (Guardian Angels, Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. John Fisher) for a Mass and reception inside the Chapel of St. Gregory the Great on the MTSM campus. Over 250 parishioners from the three parishes, which were brought together as part of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s Beacons of Light initiative.
All the priests from the MTSM Family of Parishes, along with MTSM President/Rector The Very Rev. Anthony R. Brausch and Rev. David A. Sunburg, MTSM Spiritual Director, presided over the Mass led by Rev. Steve Angi.
The Mass is an example of what The Most Reverend Dennis M. Schnurr, Archbishop of Cincinnati and Chancellor of MTSM, described in Beacons of Light as “The Mass is the source and summit of the whole Christian life. Accordingly, the Eucharist is the essential moment for building up and strengthening the parish community, along with the sacraments and other celebrations of the paschal mystery – the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
MTSM thanks everyone for attending and looks forward to seeing any of the parishioners again at future events at MTSM.
