MTSM Seminarians Assist in Hosting Behold
04.24.24On the evening of Friday, April 19, a group of over 30 seminarians being formed at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) helped put on Behold, a bi-annual event in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati that provides young adults the opportunity to spend time with the Lord.
The Spring 2024 Behold was held at St. Monica-St. George Parish out by the University of Cincinnati. The evening included prayer, time for adoration, musical performances both instrumental and by a Schola of MTSM Seminarians, a Gospel reading and homily given by Deacon Matt Montag (who will be ordained to the priesthood next month), reconciliation with MTSM Priest Faculty Fr. Chris Geiger and Fr. Ryan Ruiz and prayer teams with MTSM seminarians.
“Behold is an opportunity for encounter for young adults,” Luke Danis, a II Theology Seminarian from Xenia and MTSM’s Behold Liaison this academic year said. “First and foremost, it’s an encouter with our Eucharistic Lord, and opportunity to sit with Him to offer our praise and adoration and to receive His love.”
Following the event, the MTSM seminarians hosted a social in the Parish Center for attendees to get the opportunity to meet each other and the seminarians.
“Behold is also an opportunity for Catholic young adults to encounter each other, and get to know the men studying for the priesthood in the area,” Danis mentioned. “It’s an opportunity to form authentic, Catholic friendships in the name of building up the Kingdom!”
Started in 2015 in association with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Young Adult Evangelization office, Behold has traveled around the Archdiocese, including making multiple stops in the Chapel of St. Gregory the Great on the MTSM campus.
