Rev. Endres, Craycraft Receive Catholic Media Association Honors
06.23.23Two members of the Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology (MTSM) faculty received honors from the Catholic Media Association (CMA) this week as part of the organization’s 2023 awards for the last year.
Rev. David Endres, Ph.D., Dean of the Mount St. Mary’s Seminary and Professor of Church History & Historical Theology, received in the top two prizes in the Book Awards Anthology category for his work as Editor of Native American Catholic Studies Reader: History and Theology. The award committee said about it “An exhaustive corpus on a sadly neglected topic. Well done and stimulating. Fills a void in the market in an admirable way. Will draw the reader in and expand their horizons.”
Rev. Endres received the top honor in the Book Award Anthology category for a second straight year, after receiving it in 2022 for Black Catholic Studies Reader: History and Theology, which also earned Honorable Mention in the History category. Kenneth Craycraft, Ph.D., J.D., the James J. Gardner Family Chair of Moral Theology and Associate Professor of Moral Theology, received Honorable Mention in the Magazine Awards category for ‘Best Regular Column – General Commentary’ for his contributions to The Catholic Telegraph, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s monthly magazine.
